Dr Seuss was born Theodor Seuss Geisel in Springfield Massachusetts on 2nd March 1904. He was an American children's author, illustrator, poet, screenwriter, filmmaker, animator and political cartoonist. Seuss was best known as a children's author. However it wasn't until the 1950's onwards that Seuss would write some of his most famous books, that would be read and enjoyed by children for generations to come.
